Flip Grid is an amazing instructional tool that was used during my ENG 2580 class. Flip grid was used to communicate via video format about the Book Choice Project. Lucy Calkins' The Art of Teaching Writing is the novel that I chose to present about because it is extremely applicable to elementary education teachers. Lucy provides not only examples of student writing but also student work, personal experiences, lesson plans, and her own personal thoughts. This book is a great resource for me to use as a teacher, and this book will help me to continue to grow regarding "the art of teaching writing." Calkins is an amazing author that demonstrates a strong author's voice, which helps me, as a reader, connect and truly learn from her.

In each Flipgrid, I discuss what I am enjoying and learning about the book. Therefore, my final Flip-Grid is a synopsis of all of my thoughts and opinions surrounding this novel.

I encourage every Elementary Education teacher to pick up this book. It is truly a great read.
